Saraiya residents living in fear

AN UNIDENTIFIED attacker has created a sense of fear and is giving sleepless nights to people in Saraiya area in Jaitpura for the last 15 days. Police held a meeting of the locals on Thursday to take stock of the situation.

AN UNIDENTIFIED attacker has created a sense of fear and is giving sleepless nights to people in Saraiya area in Jaitpura for the last 15 days. Police held a meeting of the locals on Thursday to take stock of the situation.

No one has identified this attacker who only targeted female members but those who have seen this were of the view that this attacker looked like a bear. Police said that it was an act of some mischievous elements or a rumor to create a sense of fear among the residents.

This strange element attacked 60-year-old Rabia Bibi, on Tuesday night, while she was sleeping on her roof.

The first victim of this strange attacker was a small girl who was attacked on September 5 when she was sleeping on her house roof. Following the repeated incidents, the locals were patrolling and guarding in this locality during night hours.

Station officer of Jaitpura denied the mysterious attack and said that it might be an act of an animal or an act of some mischievous element to create a sense of fear among the residents of Batlahia locality, in Saraiya.

Additional Superintendent of Police, Chandra Prakash held a meeting with the prominent personalities of this locality on Thursday to remove a sense of fear among the locals.

It was decided in the meeting that three police teams would be formed to patrol in this locality during night hours. Three to five locals would also be included in this police team during patrolling.
