Keeping in view that festivals like Holi, Barhavfaat, Ram Navmi and Good on Friday, chances are there that some persons try to take advantage of the situation in the city, SDM City Shakuntala Gautam said.

Section 144 has been imposed in the city and orders have been passed for strict security cover to the city, Gautam said.

As Barhavfaat (birthday of Prophet Mohammad) procession will also come on the same day as Holi will be celebrated in the district and police officials have been asked to provide extra security and remain alert, he added.

Also, as high school and inter-mediate examinations are going on in the district, use of loudspeakers within a range of 100 metres has been banned. Strict action will be taken against those found using loudspeakers after 10 in the night, he said.
