British institutions of higher learning were today invited to set up their centres at the Rajiv Gandhi Education City in Haryana, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said.
The invitation was extended to the British business delegation during their meeting with the Chief Minister here.
Hooda also sought investment in the areas of food processing, agriculture retailing and exports and said that Haryana has emerged as the most preferred investment destination for Britain.
The Chief Minister said during his recent visit to Europe, investments worth Rs 12,000 crore (1.25 billion pounds) were mobilized. Today, Haryana has more than 70 financial and technical collaborations with the British companies involving an investment of more than Rs 800 crore.
Karan Bilimoria, who led the delegation said the track record of Haryana government was really impressive for investment and the British entrepreneurs were now looking forward for a mutually beneficial investment in the state.
