Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu on Saturday, had an emotional reunion with his wife and children after spending two nights in prison in connection with his conviction in a culpable homicide case.
For once, the usually garrulous BJP star campaigner was short for words and broke down on meeting his doctor wife Navjot Kaur, son Karan and daughter Rabia at Dukhniwaran Sahib gurdwara after his release from Patiala Central Jail.
He just hugged and kissed them, while Kaur heaved a sigh of relief and thanked the people of Punjab for the "support and love" shown in their hour of grief.
