Soren is currently undergoing treatment for chest pain at the Tihar Jail hospital.

"The jail doctors have said Soren will be able to go to court on Tuesday," Sunil Gupta, Tihar Jail law officer, said.

He was shifted to the jail hospital on Sunday from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), where he was admitted on last Tuesday after he complained of severe chest pain.

"Since his condition was better we decided to shift him to the jail hospital," said Gupta.

"The doctors are planning to discharge him in the evening and he will be shifted to his cell," Gupta added.

A city court is scheduled to announce Soren's sentence on Tuesday.

He has been convicted for the murder of his personal assistant Shashi Nath Jha. The court had found him guilty of criminal conspiracy, abduction and murder.
