A day after three Rajasthan Royals players were charged with a tough anti-organised crime law, team owner Raj Kundra was quizzed by the Special Cell of Delhi Police on Wednesday morning in the T20 league spot-fixing scandal.
While the Delhi Police claims it has been investigating the possibility of the involvement of players of other teams, this is for the first time that an owner of a T20 league team was questioned.
News channels quoting sources said his interrogation may take place for more than two hours and he would be asked whether his players have discussed anything about the bookies in touch with them or given him any hint about spot fixing.
Rajasthan Royals trio Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankit Chavan, who were arrested in Mumbai on May 17 have confessed to their involvement in spot-fixing.
On Tuesday, they were charged under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime, normally aimed at crime syndicates after being denied a bail.
The police also claimed that they had sufficient evidence to prove that the underworld controlled the illegal betting in the T20 league.
