Hamirpur is all set to host a state-level boxing championship from September 24-26 on the campus of Government Senior Secondary School here.
Divulging details of the championship, district president of the association Arun Thakur on Sunday said chief parliamentary secretary Inder Dutt Lakhanpal would inaugurate the meet on September 24.
Rajendra Rana, MLA, and associate members of the Congress Party would be the chief guests on the second day of the championship, whereas Vikrmaditya Singh, son of chief minister Virbhadra Singh, would be the chief guest on the concluding day on September 26, Lakhanpal added.
He said cultural programmes would also be presented on all three days of the championship and winners would be awarded with cash prize, he said.
