Police said the couple and their daughter were asleep on the roof of their house, while the son was sleeping in another room.

Around 1 a.m., Raman (45), his wife Rajkumari (42) and daughter Laxmi (6) mysteriously caught fire, eyewitnesses told police. Despite efforts to douse flames, Raman, his wife and daughter were burnt to death.

ACP Central Tejvir Singh said, “All angles of the case are being investigated.”
