Ticket sale for the high-profile sixth and last one-day international match between India and Pakistan to be held at Ferozeshah Kotla on April 17 began on Friday morning.
Since a very limited number of tickets are available for sale, they are being sold on the first-come-first-serve basis in some branches of the Central Bank, said the official bankers of the DDCA.
The first person to buy a ticket at the Parliament Street branch of the bank said he was in the queue since 5 pm on Thursday, while more than 1000 others were still waiting for their turn.
Tickets worth Rs 11,000, Rs 5,000 and Rs 1,000 are available at the Parliament Street branch of the bank, while tickets of the denomination of Rs 400 and for students (Rs 200) would be sold at the Kashmere Gate branch.
A horde of VVIPs including Pakistan President Pervez Mushrraf, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairman Sonia Gandhi besides several top leaders are expected to witness the match.
DDCA had earmarked 12,150 tickets for the general public, out of which it handed over 2050 tickets to Pakistan Cricket Board for the fans from that country.
Another 3000 tickets for the DDCA League Club members means that only 7,000 tickets would be left for common fans.
