The city police have blamed the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for electricity problem at the police station in MG Road Metro station.
The police station at MG Road Metro station turned into a dark room as the corporation snapped power supply to the police station, saying that the facility was functioning without following proper procedures.
For the past nine days, officials at the police station are managing the show without light.
The police claimed that the corporation was not ready to provide space for police station at any of the five Metro stations in the city.
"We are following the instructions of the state government for police station on Metro premises. Also, it is the DMRC's responsibility to provide us with some space for police station. But it has been ignoring the issue for the past one year," said SS Deswal, police commissioner, Gurgaon.
"The DMRC has been saying it needs to conduct some survey and other processes. The city has only five Metro stations and for the past one year the DMRC could not conduct a survey to provide us with some space. This shows its intention. It is not ready to provide space for the police station on Metro premises," said Deswal.
Earlier, the corporation had said the police had taken electricity connection illegally and were running air-conditioners, which poses the risk of short-circuit.
