Although he has shot for Sony’s Dus ka Dum for three days, it seems Salman Khan has still to settle into his role of a TV host.

Apparently, on the last day of the first schedule, he told producer Siddharth Basu that it wasn’t easy for him to read his lines on the teleprompter.

It is learnt that Khan told Basu that the lines written for him were full of pure Hindi and needed to be changed—this would help him to bemore spontaneous before the camera.

Plus, he wasn’t thrilled with the teleprompter. He asked Basu if they could do away with it so that he would not have to strain himself to read his lines.

Not enough rehearsals
Channel sources say that the problem with Khan taking time to settle in as a host is because he had just rehearsed for a fortnight which isn’t sufficient.

Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan are said to have rehearsed for over a month before they were ready to shoot for their TV shows.

The star also preponed the shoot.. “He was supposed to go to London for an award show, but changed his mind and called to say hewas ready to shoot,”says our source, adding that Khan was nervous on the first day, and gave quite a few retakes before the shotswere okayed.
