Two persons were arrested on Sunday in connection with the theft in the house of former Karnataka Chief Minister S Nijalingappa in Chitradurga, about 200 km from here.
The duo had made away with trophies, including 'Karnataka Ratna', the highest civilian honour bestowed on Nijalingappa by the state.

Police said the two had broken open a window yesterday to gain entry into the house, which had remained locked for several months.
Police are on the look out for their accomplice.
