Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a house in the area and nabbed Mahmud Roni, who hailed from Comilla district in Bangladesh.

Later, receiving inputs from him, they nabbed Mamud Ahmed, also a Bangladeshi national, from the locality.

Forged documents like voter's identity card, passport and incriminating documents were seized from their possession.

Roni and Ahamed used fake names Rakesh and Amit Mandal respectively and managed to obtain ATM cards of nationalised banks of India.

The duo identified them as exporters, but failed to show any document.

The police said they recovered one lap top and a map of Bangladesh and some undisclosed documents from their possession.

An investigation has been launched, the police said.
