PRAHLAD PATEL, former Union minister of state and an acolyte of expelled BJP leader Uma Bharti, today said the Sanyasin would float a new national political outfit in the latter half of February, which would fight the assembly elections of UP and Uttaranchal.
Patel, who has parted ways with the BJP after being served notices for revolting against the saffron central leadership for Uma’s cause, said they were at the moment were working on the formation and guidelines of the party.
Talking to newspersons here, he hinted that the new party would have the blend of ‘hard Hindutava’, saying they won’t deviate from the name of Ram, which was very dear to them. “We are of the strong view that religion and politics should go hand in hand”, he remarked.
He said the Jan Sangh party finished in 25 years, and the BJP was going the same way in 25 years. He attributed the fall of Jan Sangh and BJP to the erosion of ideology, saying the BJP has betrayed lakhs of people on the Ram Temple issue.
Asked whether the new political outfit would be a bunch of BJP dissidents, he said it would consist of dissidents of Congress, SP and other small parties. There are many people in Congress who want to leave the party but don’t want to join the BJP. Similar situation was in SP and BJP, he added.

Patel dubbed the eruption of tension between two communities on the occasion of Eid in some parts of MP and the violence in Indore today as a result of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s shortcomings. He (Chauhan) is failing to coordinate and lacks decision-making quality, he remarked.
