UP on alert after announcement of Osama's killing

Following the killing of founder of al Qaeda Osama bin Laden the state police headquarters on Monday morning directed all the district police chiefs to be vigilant in their areas.

The special director general police (law and order) Brijlal told HT that instructions had been issued to all the districts for proper security and vigilance. He said security committee meeting will meet later in the day to review the situation and then issue fresh directives. The police have taken special security measures in communally sensitive areas of the state.
