The Haryana government has notified that voting days would be observed as paid holiday or special casual leave (paid) for those employees of the government or semi-government offices, state government educational institutions, boards and corporations situated in the national capital region falling in Haryana who wish to cast their vote in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

Meanwhile, the Haryana Election Commission also issued a programme for conducting panchayat elections in Jakhal Mandi in Fatehabad district, Nissing (rural) in Karnal district and Berwala (Nandla) in Panchkula district and byelections of panchs and sarpanchs in Hisar and Fatehabad.
