She said Ashok, who has recently been promoted as president of Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC), would be contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Sirsa and there was no chance of not contesting elections this time.

Notably, an English daily had claimed that Tanwar might opt to contest parliamentary polls from Ambala.
She said, "Ashok has worked hard and brought development in Sirsa and people of the district like him. So there is no chance that he would opt from somewhere else."
