Women have high management skills : Kiran Bedi
Kiran Bedi, while speaking at a programme in Hyderabad, said the working style of men was now obsolete.
Director General of Buro of Police Research and Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, Kiran Bedi on Saturday said qualified women were performing well as managers in the corporate world ever since economic liberalisation had taken place in all sectors in the country.

Speaking at a programme organised by the state FICCI ladies organisation in Hyderabad, Bedi said the corporate world had changed its policies, started looking for qualified women who had new ideas for achieving goals set by business firms.
She pointed out that the working style of men was now obsolete. Women, however, were multi-tasking and would soon lead the corporate world.
She said reliable counselling should be provided to women to cross the barriers that restricted them to achieve their goals.
Calling upon women organisations to conduct camps on Right To Information (RTI) Act to create awareness among rural women, she said that women should know the information required.
Stating that reservation for women in legislative bodies was a political necessity, Bedi said "we need to bring this opportunity for women at an early stage".
She said women should also express their views and give suggestions on the draft bill for police Act, which was put on the internet. The government was taking steps to re-write the police Act adopted in 1861, to make the cops sensitive and more responsible.
