She was addressing a public meet after laying the foundation stone of a mega housing scheme at Bedwas in Udaipur. She also unveiled a statue of Swami Vivekanand and inaugurated a park on Fatehsagar Lake Raje said, “In the name of poor, the benefit of schemes are availed by other people. Though the poor get a house allotted in housing schemes but despite that they live in huts.”

Hitting out at the Congress, she said after Independence in 66 years only one party governed the nation but despite that there is no development in the state. Our previous government removed the tag of BIMARU from the state and brought in development. But in the last five years, the state went into the same position. “We will work to bring the state back on the development tracks but it will take time. We don’t have a magic wand to remove the 66-year-old disease in a day,” she added.

About the ‘government-at-your-door’ programme in Bharatpur, she said the initiative proved successful and it would be continued in other divisions.
