If I knew of his anti-national activities, I would have shot him: Father of ‘Pak spy’

Vital information and documents related to deployment of army and para military forces in Rajasthan and Gujarat having serious implications on national security were recovered from Ramzan Khan and Subhash Jangid

Father of Subhash Jangid, who was arrested by Delhi police on Thursday for spying for Pakistan, said on Friday that if he knew about his son’s activities, he would have either shot him dead or handed him over to the police.

Hirji Jangid, Subhash’s father, said he was in great distress after hearing the news of his son’s alleged involvement in spying.

“It has shaken our family from the core. Had I known about his involvement in such kinds of activities either I would have shot him dead or handed over him to police,” said Jangid. “He has ruined my family’s name – it would take generations for us to come out of this shock,” he added.

Hirji said his family was in such a shock that no one had slept since Thursday night.

He sought the most severe punishment for his son if he is proven guilty by a court of law.

Meanwhile, Intelligence Bureau sources informed that they have confiscated Maulana Ramzan’s passport. Maulana was issued a passport nine years ago and has visited Dubai twice, added a source. “We visited Mulana’s house today (Friday) in Bassi Mohalla and confiscated his passport and some other material, including the passport from his house,” the sources said.

Mualana Ramzan and Subhash Jangid of Nagaur were friends for several years and were arrested by the Delhi police on Wednesday allegedly for spying and passing on information to their handlers in Pakistan.
