Sharing the video on Instagram, Bonnie wrote, “A Hidden Piece of Amritsar’s Heritage. Today, while roaming through the old streets of Amritsar, I came across this beautiful heritage haveli quietly standing among the narrow lanes.”

The blogger highlighted how the old walls, traditional architecture, and timeless charm of the mansion told a story of a different era when these streets were filled with families, traditions, and memories passed down through generations. “Places like this remind us that Amritsar is not just a city, it is a living history,” he added.

The architecture

The facade of the house is as grand as the interiors, preserving years of history. It speaks of a bygone time when houses had arched windows and doorways, jaalis to let in natural light and maintain ventilation, stunning encaustic-tiled floors, old switchboards with circular buttons, grand pillars, and grand floor-to-ceiling 100-year-old almirahs with old-wood decor.

Grand verandahs inside the home and wooden staircases flanked by grand balustrades and balconies make the interiors feel more spacious. The home tour video also revealed that the multi-story mansion still retains the old marble tiling and stained-glasswork from a bygone era.

The videos also reveal that the home has been used for many film shoots. The blogger revealed that the terrace was seen in one of the scenes of Dhurandhar, featuring Ranveer Singh. The terrace also features stunning views of the entire city of Amritsar. One can also see the Golden Temple from the terrace of the mansion, decorated with a variety of plants.
