I sprinted through Delhi Airport T3 to T1 in 30 minutes with this spinner bag; was it worth the price tag?

I tested Assembly Rover Pro during a rushed Delhi T3 to T1 transfer, finding its wheels, handle and shape genuinely useful.

I have used this suitcase enough to know how it behaves during a proper airport rush, but this was probably my most useful test yet. I had just two hours and 15 minutes between my flights at Delhi Airport, and I had to get from T3 to T1 after landing. From getting off the flight and collecting my luggage to taking the transfer and reaching the other terminal, the entire process took around 45 minutes, with roughly 30 minutes of that feeling like a proper airport sprint.

First thing I noticed was how easy it was to spot

One thing I really liked about this suitcase became obvious even before I started rushing between terminals. It was incredibly easy to spot on the luggage belt. The shape is quite distinctive, so I could identify it almost immediately instead of standing around trying to figure out which black suitcase was mine. After using more than my share of luggage over the years, I can tell you that this small detail matters a lot when you have another flight to catch.

The shape also gives the suitcase a slightly different look from the usual cabin bags. It is not the kind of suitcase that disappears into a sea of similar-looking luggage, and that worked in my favour at Delhi Airport.

The T3 to T1 transfer was the real test

Once I had my suitcase, I did not have much time to waste. I had to get across to T1, take the transfer bus and then make my way through the other terminal for my next flight. This is exactly the kind of situation where a suitcase can either make things easier or become something you are constantly dragging behind you.

The Rover Pro was actually very easy to manage through this rush. The wheels worked really well on the airport flooring, and I could roll it along without constantly adjusting my direction. I also ended up carrying it at points during the transfer, and it did not feel awkward to handle. The handle stayed steady too, which made a noticeable difference because a shaky trolley handle is one of those things that becomes particularly irritating when you are already trying to move quickly.

I had no complaints about the wheels

For me, the wheels were one of the strongest parts of this airport test. I could move quickly through the terminal without feeling like I had to fight the suitcase. It rolled easily behind me and was responsive when I changed direction, which helped when I was moving through busy airport areas with a time crunch.

The eight spinner wheels also helped when I needed to switch between pulling the suitcase behind me and pushing it alongside me. I have used enough suitcases with wheels that feel fine inside a showroom but become annoying once you add airport flooring, transfer areas and a proper rush. This one held up well during my T3 to T1 transfer.

Brand Confidence

We focus on products from brands with a proven reputation and long-standing market trust.

The handle did not get in the way

The trolley handle can make a surprising difference when you are moving quickly with luggage. If it feels loose or shaky, you end up adjusting your grip constantly, which slows you down and makes the suitcase feel less controlled. That was not an issue here because the handle felt steady throughout the transfer.

I was able to pull the suitcase quickly without feeling like the handle was wobbling around. Combined with the smooth wheels, this made the Rover Pro quite comfortable to use during what was a fairly rushed airport transfer.

Getting through T1 was thankfully quick

By the time I reached T1, I was expecting the usual stress of wondering how much time I would lose before getting to the gate. Thankfully, the self check-in process was fast and did not take much time. That meant I could keep moving instead of standing around with the suitcase after making the terminal transfer.

This is also where having a suitcase that is easy to roll and carry becomes useful. I was not struggling with the bag while trying to get through the airport, and I could simply keep moving towards the next step.

What I liked about using it at the airport

After this particular airport run, the things I liked most about the Rover Pro were not really the flashy features. It was the practical stuff. I could spot it quickly on the luggage belt, roll it easily through the terminal, carry it during the transfer and move quickly without the handle becoming a nuisance.

The suitcase also felt supportive when I had to take the bus to the other terminal. That matters because an airport transfer is not always just about rolling your suitcase across a smooth terminal floor. You may have to lift it, carry it, squeeze through crowded areas and then start rolling again. This suitcase handled that routine comfortably for me.

So, was it worth the ₹4,999 price tag?

The Assembly Rover Pro 20 inch is currently listed at a discounted price of ₹4,999, and after this airport test, I would say it makes sense for someone who flies regularly and wants a cabin suitcase that is easy to manage in real airport situations. The price becomes easier to justify for frequent flyers because the useful parts are the ones you actually notice while travelling.

For me, this particular test was less about how the suitcase looked on paper and more about how it behaved when I was short on time. I had two hours and 15 minutes between flights, had to collect my luggage, transfer from T3 to T1 and get through the next terminal. The suitcase was easy to spot, easy to carry and easy to roll, and the wheels and steady handle made the rushed transfer much less stressful.
