Outgoing Lok Sabha member from Andhra Pradesh and industrialist senior SPY Reddy died on Tuesday night after brief illness, his family members said.

He was 69 and is survived by his wife, son and daughter. Reddy, who was a three-time MP from Nandyal parliamentary constituency in Kurnool, was a prominent industrialist promoting Nandi group of companies.
Reddy contested recent Lok Sabha elections on behalf of Jana Sena Party floated by actor Pawan Kalyan. He had earlier defected from YSR Congress party into Telugu Desam Party.
He was suffering with lung infection and was admitted in a private hospital in Hyderabad this month, just before the general elections took place.

Naidu said that Reddy served the Nandyal as a member of Parliament and the people of the district would never forget his services.
