In a heinous incident, a Class 4 boy, who had been missing since Tuesday night, was allegedly sodomised and murdered in Chowk area. His body was found in a dilapidated building behind Kunwar Girdhari Singh Inter College in Chowk on Thursday.
Police said two syringes apparently used to inject drugs have been found near the boy’s body and circumstantial evidence suggests some drug addicts apparently murdered the boy after sodomising him. The police are further investigating the matter after registering an FIR under section 377 of the IPC for sodomy and 302 for murder in the incident.
According to reports, the boy identified as Harsh alias Bobby, 9, was missing since Tuesday night, when he was playing with some friends near his house in Dhobisarai locality. His family apparently did not notice his disappearance until midnight, as the entire locality was celebrating Holi and his father Pappu, a labourer, and mother Guddi only started searching for him when he did not return home.
They lodged a report of his disappearance with the Chowk police station on Wednesday morning. On Thursday morning, the police approached the boy’s family and informed them about a body found in a building in Ashrafabad. The deceased was later identified as the missing boy. The victim’s family also staged protest outside the postmortem house demanding immediate arrest of the accused.

He said, “The assailants apparently strangulated him to death when he would have resisted their act, however the post-mortem report is still awaited. The report would confirm the exact cause of death and other injuries caused to him,” he added.
Singh said the syringes found near the boy’s body indicated that the assailants were apparently drug addicts and the crime was committed under the influence of drugs.
