A woman, whose newborn child died at the BRD Medical College last week, passed away due to post-delivery complications in the intensive care unit of the same hospital on Wednesday, prompting her attendants to turn violent.

Two hospital employees sustained minor injuries in the incident during which the attendants resorted to stone-pelting and broke the glass pane of the hospital’s MRI centre.
The incident created panic among other patients.
The 35-year-old Rinku , resident of Khajni area, died just five days after giving birth to a child who died on August 11.
The family members said the baby died due to shortage of oxygen supply, adding that now the woman had passed away due to mismanagement and negligence of doctors.

A police team led by Gulharia station house officer AK Mishra reached the spot and pacified the attendants.
Police said no FIR was lodged as no complaint was received from the hospital authorities .
