The state government on Thursday announced Rs 1 lakh reward for those who will inform about the persons spreading the CD and MMS of the video showing a mob brutally killing two youths.
The video was shot in tribal area of Pakistan and was posted on the social networking site as the murder clipping of Kaval area in Muzaffarnagar. Home Secretary Kamal Saxena said the video has been blocked on You Tube and Face Book. Case has been registered against those involved in sharing the video on face book, he said.
The state government has also decided to form a special cell for the analysis and investigation of the communal riot. The people who had migrated to another place after the communal clash can lodge FIR in nay police station located in a district.
The state government suspended three Station House officers (SHOs) including Pramod Singh, Subash Chndra Sharma and Indra Mani Verma posted at Ghaura Kala Shahpur and Mirpur police stations in Muzaffaranagar districts. The sub inspectors Jaipal Singh and Muninderveer Singh posted at Dohat and Badaut police station in Baghpat districts have been also suspended.
The circle officer of Mawana town VP Singh and SHO of the police station Udaiveer Singh have been transferred. Home Secretary, Kamal Saxena said the total death in West UP was 43 with 38 deaths in Muzaffarnagar, 3 in Baghapat , one in Saharanpur and one in Meerut. The state government distributed Rs 3 crore compensation among the dependents of the riot victims.
IG STF, Ashish Gupta said action under section 107/16 was taken against 12,000 persons, case under section 151 IPC has been registered against 1700 persons and 2300 firearms licence has been cancelled. The police has arrested 1766 persons. National Secutrity Act has been slapped on 7 persons. The police also seized illegal arms in the house to house search in the area. The 41 cartridges of AK 47 was recovered from the house a retired BSF jawan and he was absconding. The complaint of six persons was registered at the control room set by the Muzaffarnagar police.

Eight BJP MLAs were stoopped in other districts. Three BJP MLAs managed to give slip to the police and reached Muzaffarnagar. Later the police took them into custody. Satish Mahan ,Dy leader of BJP in legislature assembly Pratap Bhadoria MLA form Kanpur Dehat and Radhamohan Das Aggrawal from Gorakhpur reached in Muzaffarnagar and held press conference at the residence of Hukum Singh.

The curfew was relaxed for 7 hours on Thursday from 12 Noon to 7 pm. There was no report of any untoward inciodent. The night curew would continue in the district.
