The state government has also intimated the high court about this decision. The home department has also undertaken extensive exercise to review the security arrangement of VVIPs in the state.

The department has thereafter informed the concerned districts to take necessary measures about their security. Now union finance minister P Chidambaram would be provided Z plus security during his visit to UP. However Z category security to Supreme Court laywer Ajay Kumar Agarwal during his visit to UP has been lowered to Y category.

While retaining Y category for SP MLA from Bulandshahr Bhagwan Sharma alias Guddu Pandit, Mukesh Sharma, Ashu Malik of Ghaziabad, the department has asked the concerned district administration to withdraw additional police personnel deployed with them. The security of former BSP MLC KK Sachan (Kanpur) has also been withdrawn.
