The Amboli police are probing two related cases of assault where a restaurant owner and two of his employees beat up a customer early on Tuesday. In retaliation, the customer’s relative thrashed the owner’s aides. No arrests have been made yet.

According to the Amboli police, Lalbahadur Yadav, 22, and Abhishek Yadav, 20, were beaten up at the White room restaurant and bar located in Andheri (west) by its owner Rahul Sachdeva and his aides. The police have also booked Lalbahadur’s brother Rambahadur Yadav, 23, and his friends for beating up Sachdeva’s employees.
Speaking to the press, Ramkaran said that his brother and the staff fought over getting a seat at the restaurant. “They were not giving a seat to my brother despite there being empty seats. They suspected that my brother was recording a video of people smoking hookkah and the obscene dance that was going on there. They then tied up my brother and beat him. Also, the incident took place at 3 am but they claim that it took place at 1.30 am.”
According to the police, after being thrashed by the restaurant owner, the alleged victim’s brother beat up Sachdeva’s employees.
