A 19-year-old woman took to Twitter and tagged chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and Mumbai Police to complain about the low resolution of CCTV cameras across the city after Juhu Police failed to solve a robbery case she registered in July owing to the poor quality of footage.

In a series of tweets, the girl questioned the quality of cameras installed.

“@MumbaiPolice @CPMumbaiPolice @pravintalan Also I do fail to understand that each time when someone breaks the signal how is the camera quality so good to capture the number plate,” she tweeted.

“@Dev_Fadnavis But after crimes are conducted and even after they being visible in the CCTV footage the police tells you..that the camera quality isn’t good hence we can’t see the culprits face or the vehicles number is the camera doing any good?” she added.

According to the complainant, two men on a bike stalked her and robbed her mobile phone when she was riding a scooter few metres away from Juhu police station at around at 10:15 pm.

Further, the thieves hacked her email account and tried to shop online using her mobile app. However, since the registered mobile number for receiving the One Time Password (OTP) was her father’s, the accused were unable to succeed.
