A rare India Eagle Owl was rescued from Aarey Colony on Tuesday. Plant & Animals Welfare Society,(PAWS) volunteer Rakesh Gujar rescued the bird, which was drenched, sitting on the side of road. After treatment, it was keept under observation for a day and released back in same area where it was found.

Found in the Indian sub-continent, the bird is a fairly large owl with prominent brown ear-tufts. They are found in hilly and rocky scrub forests, and are usually seen in pairs.
