Traffic towards Mumbai hit after gas tanker topples on Sion-Panvel highway

The accident took place around 6.30am at Sanpada

Motorists using the Sion-Panvel highway experienced a 20-minute traffic jam after a gas tanker toppled at Sanpada on Monday morning. According to the traffic police, the tanker was going towards Mumbai from Panvel. The accident took place around 6.30am. “As the road was blocked partially, motorists going towards Mumbai were inconvenienced. Our officers reached the spot and cleared the tankers at the earliest. There was a traffic jam in the area for 20 minutes,” said a traffic police officer.
