2 Mumbai men held for molesting sister-in-law, threatening to throw acid on her

The two accused are residents of Parel, Mumbai and are on the run.

Two men were booked for molesting their sister in law and threatening to throw acid on her at Thane.

The victim works in private firm as a Holiday advisor in Thane.

The two accused were identified as Nitin Dablu Singh, 29, and Sachin Dablu Singh, 25. They are residents of Parel, Mumbai and are currently on the run.

As per the complaint made by the 28-year-old woman, the two men accosted her when she had come down from her office to have lunch on May 6. "The men slapped her and threatened to throw acid on her, because of a quarrel they had their house", said a police officer from Wagle estate police station.

The victim later narrated the incident to her parents and a compliant was lodge with the Wagle estate police station on Wednesday.

"The victim got married to the brother of the two accused three years back, but because of daily arguments and fights over household issues, she moved to her mother’s place in Thane one and a half year ago. Despite that, the accused continued to harass her for various reasons,", said officer.
