Faces of Kasab, Ismail not clear: HC

But the Bombay High Court noted that faces of the two Lashkar-e-Taiba operatives were not clearly visible.

A CD containing clear images of the pair perpetrating terror acts outside the railway station could not be screened due to some technical fault.

The division bench of Justices Ranjana Desai and RV More watched the footage in the conference hall of the high court building but, to the disappointment of the viewers, their faces were not clearly visible as events apparently unfolded at a considerable distance from the cameras.

The film showed the crucial 10 minutes at CST when the two had entered local trains after firing at people in the main hall of the terminal for long-distance trains. The film also showed a constable trying to fire at the duo but his gun got jammed. In desperation, he flung a chair at them but missed.

He later told the court that the faces of both could be seen clearly in a film, which would be shown to the court in due course.
