The 26-year-old admits that she is the reason he accepted the show's offer, keeping his IAS exam preparation on hold. "I was in Class 7 when I bought her poster. I married her in my dreams back then. I'm getting goosebumps while getting ready to dance before her," he said.

Kumar appeared on KBC 5 last year and took home the highest-ever prize money won on an Indian TV show. He has become a household name in Bihar's Motihari town, where he owns land, has built homes and businesses for his brothers and father, and has saved enough money to continue studying for the IAS.

"I haven't quit my IAS aspirations. A common man like me would never get a chance like this to share the stage with such popular artistes, which is also why I decided to step out of my comfort zone and dance. Once I'm through with this show, I'll start studying again," he said.
