A 40-year-old businessman, who had left his office for two hours to have lunch on Saturday, returned to find that his safe had broken into, and the Rs2.5 lakh kept in it, stolen.

C Virvadiya, who trades in metals, registered a case of house break-in theft with the VP Road police.
The incident took place between 2pm and 4pm, at Virvadiya's second-floor office, in Kumbharwada, Girgaum. A client had given the money to Virvadiya on Wednesday.
“Like every day, I went to have lunch at 2pm. When I reached my office, at 4pm, I found the lock broken. Someone had used a key to open the safe where the money was kept.” Virvadiya said to the police. “There are several people working at the office. We are sure that an insider is involved,” said inspector K Kale, VP Road police station.
Police are questioning the employees for leads.
