Jerome, who was dressed in a formal shirt and trousers, clutched a handkerchief and seemed nervous.

The duo listened intently as additional sessions judge MW Chandwani announced the verdict. When the judge announced that Susairaj had been cleared of murder charges, she broke down and hugged her brother. Jerome, who was convicted for culpable homicide not amounting to murder, looked shaken up as his family and lawyer walked up to him to comfort him. Jerome left the court with police officials and his legal team, with his father, trailed behind.

Susairaj was beaming when she left the court. Jerome and Susairaj, as well as their family members, who had come to court with them refused to make any statements.
