To honour the sacrifices made by security officials during the 26/11 terror attacks, the Mumbai police organised 26 blood donation camps in different parts of the city.

The blood donation camps were organised at Marol, Cuffe Parade, Azad Maidan, JJ Marg, Matunga, Dadar, RCF and Ghatkopar, Malwani, Dahisar and Powai, among other places.

Chief minister Prithviraj Chavan, home minister RR Patil and police commissioner Arup Patnaik, along with the police top brass came to the police gymkhana as a mark of respect to the martyrs. A memorial has been raised at the police gymkhana to commemorate the lives lost fighting terror.
