Popular Indian band, Agnee, who are composing a Hindi title song for the Indian release of The Avengers, finally settled on the tune and shot for the music video on Sunday.
Confirming the news, lead singer K Mohan says, “The music video will show us performing, and also include some footage from the film.” The American superhero film, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, brings together various iconic characters like Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Captain America (Chris Evans) and Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson).
Mohan reveals that being given this massive career opportunity also came with its fair share of tension.
“First, we had to figure out what the film was about.Then, we spoke to Abbas Tyrewala (director of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, 2008) and asked him to write the lyrics as he has written my Roadies songs as well,” says Mohan, adding, “We struggled a lot for the right tune, because every melody we had at that point was only compromising the lyrics, not pushing the song further.”
The band finally settled on the official tune last week. “They will release the music video on March 20, as the film’s release date in India is April 27,” reveals Mohan.
