Prateek Bhatia, 22

Prateek Bhatia is associated with Iskcon since the past two years and is a regular at the Kirtans. “The peace of mind that you get there is spellbinding,” says Bhatia who is playing guitar since past eight years. He does it out of respect and love for lord Krishna, “I don’t expect any remuneration, I selflessly wish to devote my life to Krishna bhakti,” he adds. Bollywood music is immaterial for him. He feels, good music can attract anybody. “If the audience wishes to hear Krishna Mahamantra in rock we are ready to compose it,” says Bhatia.

Vipul Malhotra, 19
Drums
The youngest member of the band and an engineering student of Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) wants to become anything but an engineer. “Two things that I am sure about my future is that I will devote my life in the service of lord Krishna and will definitely never become an engineer,” says Malhotra, who’s studying at NSIT just because his parents wanted him to. “I always wanted to become musician or a designer,” he adds. He got into Krishna bhakti two years back when his father took him to Iskcon temple. “People of our age might not find it hip but believe me, the peace of mind that you attain while you are close to Krishna is an eternal feeling,” he says.
