Anushka jams with the Midival Punditz

Providing a heady mix of rock, electronica and fusion, singer Anushka Manchanda and Midival Punditz will be jamming for the promotional event for the movie Soundtrack. The event will be held at Manchster United Café in Malad on August 23.

“This jamming session will involve people who have collaborated on the soundtrack of the movie. On stage, we will recreate the music of the original soundtrack and Anushka will be a major part of the performance,” says Tapan Raj of Midival Punditz.

Besides these two artistes, Papon, Malini Awasty, Suraj Jagan and Ankur Tewari will be also performing at the do. Says Prashant Shirshat, of 3rd Rock Entertainment, which is organising the gig, “The performance is for a select private audience. We have invited a lot of Bollywood singers and independent artistes for it. So, it will be exciting that Anushka Manchanda, Midival Punditz and the other singers will be playing to people from their own fraternity”

Anushka’s song, ‘What the F...,’ from the movie has been written and produced by Midival Punditz. The video for the song will be also launched on the occasion.

Anushka’s last major Bollywood hit was the title track of the movie Dum Maaro Dum. Actors Soha Ali Khan and Rajeev Khandelwal are also expected to be a part of the gig.
