Delhi-based band Astitva talks about what makes them special.

Why should you care?We play rock, blues, pop, jazz and sufi, but keep the lyrical part in Hindi and Urdu.

How long have they been around? We just celebrated our fourth anniversary by holding an ‘anniversary concert’.

Why this name?Astitva means existence. What makes them click? The blend of different genres in our music makes each of our songs sound different from each other. Our interaction with the crowd makes us click everywhere.

What is the one thing they hate about upcoming city-based bands? They tend to adopt the negative qualities of western bands.

They love to perform in Gurgaon. Why is that?People in Gurgaon are fun and have a great nightlife.

What are they most remembered for?Our most memorable moment was playing at the youth festival of the Commonwealth Games to a crowd of more than 15,000 people.
