LUCKNOW: A police officer, who was caught on camera sitting topless and taking a massage from a woman inside a police station in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, was placed under suspension a day after the ‘massage photos’ went viral on the social media.
The director general of police (DGP) office ordered the suspension of sub-inspector Sanjay Yadav soon after the pictures made their way from the social media to news channels.
“As per the orders of the DGP headquarters, the sub- inspector concerned has been placed under suspension. A departmental inquiry against the cop would also be initiated,” said Umesh Kumar Singh, superintendent of police, Hardoi.
“Irrespective of which version is correct, the fact remains that the police officer went topless inside a police station to take massage from a woman. This is yet another example of how lawless UP has now become,” said UP BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak.
