NEW DELHI: Those who made the “mistake of choosing the path of the devil” (shaitan ka rasta) and moved to Pakistan at the time of Partition are living as “second grade citizens”, Indresh Kumar a functionary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) said. He was summing up life of ‘Mohajirs’ (those who trace their roots to India) in Pakistan.

Taking a cue from the government’s more aggressive position against Pakistan, the RSS has upped the ante in blaming Islamabad for sponsoring terrorism in Kashmir. It is also taking forward Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Balochistan reference, by reminding Pakistan that there are “six provinces” that are fighting to break away from it.
Speaking at an international Raksha Bandhan festival, Kumar said, “At an Id Milan, I told some Pakistan is that since your( country’s) birth six provinces want independence. The progenies of those who made the mistake of becoming Mohajirs are being made to live as second grade citizens.”
While Pakistan accuses India of human rights violations in Kashmir, Kumar said “tanks and bombs” were used by the neighbour to crush “independence movement” in six of its provinces.
