Maharashtra Congress secretary Shehzad Poonawalla on Tuesday wrote to CBI and the Enforcement Directorate demanding a probe into the alleged links between BJP national secretary Sidharth Nath Singh and Bhandari. Poonawalla claimed that call data records of Bhandari showed that Singh had made 450 calls to Bhandari “within a short span of time”.

Singh said he did not know Bhandari was an arms dealer till the raids (by income tax department on Bhandari’s premises). He also denied the allegations about him making 450 calls to the defence dealer.
