Sonu and Aryan had set out from their homes towards the jungle area to herd cows around 3.30pm on Saturday. The villagers launched a manhunt for them when the boys failed to return by 7pm. On Sunday morning, their bodies were discovered floating in the abandoned pool by a group of villagers who were part of the search party. When asked about the abandoned pool, Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma, chief executive officer of Greater Noida authority, said,“I don’t wish to comment on this matter.”
