Though the big stars are missing, it is a rich field (pun intended) that will tee off at the Olympic Golf course in Rio on Thursday. Four of the 50 players in the field are part of the top 10 on the PGA tour— Henrik Stenson (Sweden, world No 5); Bubba Watson (USA, world No 6); Rickie Fowler (USA, world No 8) and Danny Willett (Britain, No 9).

The life earnings of the top five players in the field is a whopping $ 122,002,782. That’s more than Rs 815 crore—Rs 815,89,90,947 to be exact.
The top Indian in the fray, Anirban Lahiri, has a career earning of $1,406,808 (Rs 9,40,80,918 ) on the PGA tour.
