Usain Bolt is all set to participate in the last race of his professional career at the London Athletics Championships and like several of his fans, India captain Virat Kohli, too, had a special message for the Jamaican great ahead of the big day.
“Hey Usain, we know it’s your last race and we all are going to miss you a lot on the track. From me and all of PUMA family, all the very best for this one and all your future endeavours and if you ever wanna play cricket, you know where to find me,” Kohli said in a video uploaded on his official handle.
Bolt has admitted on previous occasions that he loves cricket and has also played a fair bit himself, including in a promotional match with India cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh. And he wasn’t too bad as well, scoring a 19-ball 45.

Nonetheless, that takes nothing away from the man who will seek to defend his 100m title. In all his previous appearances in the finals of a World Championship, the Jamaican has always topped the chart barring once in Daegu, when he had a false start.

At 30, although he’s grown older and gone comparatively slower, he’s still tipped to finish things off in style. His rival Andre de Grasse, too, has suffered a hamstring injury and has pulled out from the Championships.
