PHOTOS: Korean dance performance at the 12th Delhi International Arts Festival
The 12th Delhi International Arts Festival witnessed colourful performances by South Korean artists who presented musical and dance performances during the opening ceremony at the Purana Quila, and the next day at Central Park, Connaught Place. It was the first time in India that South and North Korean dance performances were presented on the same stage.

After Korea got divided into north and south respectively, the dance style also has been changed as time passed. Both the south and the north dance have their own characteristics which the performing group showcased on one single stage.

The leading performer, Choe Shin-ah, is a North Korean defector who was a dance director in North Korea, and now she is a South Korean national. She has been performing for last 26 years and founded her own troupe in 2015 in South Korea.
