Blast at mosque in Pakistan kills at least 32, 147 wounded

Hospitals of Peshawar declared an emergency and have appealed to citizens to donate blood for the victims.

At least 32 people were killed and around 147 injured after a Taliban suicide bomber blew himself up in a mosque packed with worshippers on Monday in the high-security zone in Pakistan's northwestern Peshawar city. (AFP)

"We have received dead bodies. It's an emergency situation," Muhammad Asim Khan, a spokesman for the main hospital in Peshawar said. (AFP)

There were around 260 people inside when the blast occurred, according to police, Reuters reported. (PTI)

"A portion of the building had collapsed and several people are believed to be under it," the police official added. (AFP)
