China Earthquake: Death toll rises to 148

An overnight earthquake killed more than 100 people in a cold and mountainous region in northwestern China.

The death toll from the 6.2-magnitude earthquake that struck northwest China earlier this week has now reached 148. Among these, 117 people lost their lives in the worst-hit Gansu province, according to authorities.(AP)
